What is a Wedding Photojournalist and Why Digital Cameras?
The definition of a Photojournalist is : "One who maintains a photographic record of events as in a journal"
Up until recently, photo journals were kept by maintaining a collection of negatives which were used upon demand to create portraits of an event. Negatives could easily become damaged and over the years would fade as the emulsion would deteriorate. Eventually the negatives would become non usable and records were gone forever. With the introduction of high resolution digital camera systems we now have the capability of keeping recorded events on high resolution discs as well as keeping several copies in different locations thus assuring no loss to the quality or the images themselves. The longevity is far beyond our lifetimes. Digital images also offer Photographers full control of imaging to assure you, the client, a perfect portrait every time with enhancements unheard of in the past. Digital systems coupled with true Photojournalism.....it just can't be beat. The Photographers at PhotoPros Studio are true Photojournalists, and that is exactly what you should have on your wedding day. Our job is to capture events as they happen not make them up and maintain a complete and accurate record of events of the day. While formal photographs are necessary, like the wedding party, parents and the Bride and Groom, etc., the remainder of your day should be filled with true candid photographs showing the real events as they happen. The tears of joy as well as the cries of laughter. Happy moments with friends and relatives and private, romantic moments away from the crowd. This will create the true journal of your wedding day and we can fill that journal like no other.
